ICYMI in a reply of mine, article by an earwig surveyor - 30-ish yrs ago, "282 in a night." 2024, 31 adults all year. This yr to early Aug, seven adults.

This is so true. I've witnessed it on a few occasions. The best was having tea with a Lady....... and she served it in beaten up old freebie mugs 😂

It's amazing just how much is still growing and flowering. It's great that we're still seeing the bees and ladybirds etc.

😂I'm an old git and therefore use old git phrases. I love Spain but not their national sport. It's the same here in the UK with fox hunting, hare coursing and pheasant shooting etc. Sport!!! My arse!!!

Sadly jeff they were all ages (young and old) dolled up to the nines. I'm sure this dreadful 'entertainment' will gradually stop but it can't come quick enough.

I was in Seville a couple of weeks ago when a bull fight was on. The queues to get into the bull ring were massive and the police had to close the roads leading to it because of the crowds. It's absolutely abhorrent and barbaric but still very popular it would seem.

Rest up, build up your strength & get some gin in. No I don't feel strong (always knackered these days). We'll divide & conquer. Our daughter is off to a school open day 9am Thursday, so we'll be left in charge. I find bribery works very well with the 3 year old (chocolate) don't tell my daughter 😂

<Sigh> Poor Oscar 😩 Off to the daughter's tomorrow and back Thursday. Her OH is in Portugal all week on business, so we're going to help out with the kids, dog and cats. I'll probably end up doing some housework as well.

They can tell the time though😂 5pm on the dot every afternoon they come into the kitchen and pat your legs asking for their tea.
