white-hot
neon-light, torn and rent,

euphoric, ill-scene:

damascened

and it's so eerie (not ominous, not really scary, but Very eerie, which is a rare flavour to taste unmixed).

of course i'd luv the ones from the director ppl say are slow and predictable and 'oldschool'.

i am the pretty thing that lives in the house has such good writing.

laozi casually antecipating post-structuralism by some 2.5 thousand years

this is like a hair-width from saying both that laws >create crime and that transgression feeds and reinforces prohibition (therefore being counter-revolutionary)

i wanna put the word cutlimning in a pitcher and tap the glass until i discover what sounds does it make when it gets angry

When Dew, the upside-down child,
Sorrowfully slit the throat
Of Earth's life, still young and wild,
Regretting the affront, rose,
Scaping from the bloodlett'd field
That became dead, a heath's moor,
Until the maiden Rain tilled
The soil and, mourning, did cure,
Strewing, there, the rues demure.

alive. and he did the 'how many fingers do you see?' and my vision was chromatic-aberrating the fuck out of that and as i got it wrong i felt my throat feeling with blood and as i looked down it poured out of my mouth

a game of cards. i didn't particularly felt the first shot, though, so i said to the guy it was a pity i was going to die by someone so dumb (i was just being bratty) so he fired at me again and it hit my face through my hand and this time i didn't felt too hot but he was surprised i was still +

let them crawl on my face and neck. i'm glad i didn't wake up with actually something on me.

in the second one a hUge gator spawned inside my house and i tried to deal with it by myself with a broom but it didn't go too well and it came after me.

in the third dream i was shot during +

had three dreams last night.

in the first i had this gf that was a bunch of hive-minded centipedes, but she was actually a ghost that i could only see or engage with through the bugs. and i felt like she was mad at me or generally out to kill me eventually so i was on my best behaviour and +

i am trying not to nitpick the witch's tats but she had the sun and another HUGE perfectly circular one (AND another one conjoining the sun and the moon) like who did that girl who's your artist you live in the forest eating children c'mon no one's doing that linework

make them suffer. make them bleed. make them have a single verse in the entire page that is not a footnote

oh i LOVE side by side translations. i'll deadass read something only to see words i cannot fathom the meaning interpolated. and it's very helpful bc for example i can mostly wing spanish, but if i read a translation and >then the spanish text i feel i can understand it on its own. it's kinda trippy
getagrippa.bsky.social
yeah honestly i grew up reading translations only to find out both the originals and stuff from my own native language were way harder to get through. even nowadays i'll grab a translation instead of the original (if i can) only if i am lowkey being lazy

i can't tell if my bathroom is being weirdly colder than the rest of the house today or i'm having a slight fever. or maybe it is haunted. i'll take any hauntings before a fever, honestly
getagrippa.bsky.social
true. but at the same time i think being a translator is one of the most sublime occupations ever. and i know you're not being dismissive of it but i will use it as an excuse to bust out one of my favourite examples. this is from a letter derrida wrote to his friend and translator (professor izutsu)

dreamt with vampires. like the ones that sort of shapeshift into vampires. and they looked like the ghosts from grave encounters. i even pointed that out to my old chemistry teacher that was grooming me and was one of them. but i am probably older now than she was then so that's okay
getagrippa.bsky.social
couldn't have taken it otherwise teehee
