The anti-Ted Cruz being a lesbian with a Black girlfriend (not to reduce Azzi Fudd to just that) is wonderful.
A screenshot of a twitter post featuring two pictures of WNBA star Paige Bueckers at a TCU and Texas football game.

It displays the scores of a 35-21 TCU win over Colorado and a 23-6 win over Oklahoma.

The caption of the tweet is: College teams in Texas are undefeated with Paige Bueckers in attendance 🤠 @paigebueckers1

Related: After picking up our first win on the same day Texas crapped the bed against Florida, the Ravens picked up a 12-0 win and confirmed we’re not a jinx.

Our QB was out of town, but our focus on attitude, effort, and remembering which way is right or left carried the day.

Part of the season why I need LSU to get it together.

That’s a protected rivalry.

The jokes write themselves.

My guy just used “imperious.”

You’ve gotta know your audience.

They used “intransigent” in the opening of the A&M game.

They don’t know that word.

I will never forgive the universe for putting me in a position to have to cheer against Marcel Reed.

I love having a wife that would rather strip the color from the duvet she loves and dye it the color she wants to, rather than go out and buy a whole new bedroom set.

That being said, I forgot she did that and just spent 5 minutes trying to figure out why the dryer was green before I remembered.

I would argue, that based on many of the stories about Jesus in the Christian texts, this is “evangelical” in a truer sense than what gets branded as Evangelical today.
A screenshot of the dictionary app definition of evangelical, with pronunciations and the definition:

1 : of, relating to, or being in agreement with the Christian gospel especially as it is presented in the four Gospel

As a nerd, I’m mad I will never come up with a joke this good.

This is roast is so simple and mean, it really stretches the definition of non-violent resistance.

But I’m here for it.

Responded to a tweet looking for unpaid contributors.

Quickly spun that into a podcast.

It’s not a HUGE following, but touching 1k an episode during football season is cool.

Also, my current day job I got because of a LinkedIn connection.

Has anything great happened in your life because of social media?

The problem is we’re still engaging with it by sharing the posts to share our frustration.

It’s why I chose not to dunk post on The Athletic/NY Times “Arch Manning is the first CFB flop” idiocy.

Even negative attention is still attention.

This is the kind of crap I’m talking about. I’m going to have a protein shake and some leftover chicken for lunch.

Meanwhile, the child who tells me he doesn’t like rice is going to DEVOUR this for lunch.

I’m not exaggerating that this is bordering on a war crime.

Straight from the ICRC website.
Screenshot of the ICRC website reading:

Non-international armed conflicts

The obligation to respect and protect religious personnel is set forth in Article 9 of Additional Protocol II, to which no reservations have been made.[10] In addition, under the Statute of the International Criminal Court, “intentionally directing attacks against … personnel using the distinctive emblems of the Geneva Conventions in conformity with international law” constitutes a war crime in non-international armed conflicts.[11]

I grew up going to a Methodist church in a small-ish town in Texas.

An old guy named Lee was the leader of the trustees. Oldest of old school. Fire and brimstone type.

He once told me “God doesn’t need you to fight for him. He just needs you to love people.”

Been thinking about him a lot lately.

Gonna be thinking about this lede for a minute.
(RNS) — Last month, the Rev. David Black stood in front of a Chicago-area U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility and spread his arms wide. Adorned in all black and wearing a clerical collar, the pastor looked up at a group of masked, heavily armed ICE agents on the roof and began to pray.

“I invited them to repentance,” Black, a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), said in an interview. “I basically offered an altar call. I invited them to come and receive that salvation, and be part of the kingdom that is coming.”

But when Black began to lower his arms a few seconds later, the agents responded to his spiritual plea by firing pepper balls, or chemical agents that cause eye irritation and respiratory distress, video footage shows. One struck Black in the head, exploding into a puff of white pepper smoke and forcing him to his knees. Fellow demonstrators rushed to his aid, and as the pastor rubbed his face in pain, the agents continued to fire.

“We could hear them laughing,” Black said.

The NCAA’s ability to add unnecessary complexity and hurdles for kids is unparalleled.

I know the rationale is to keep kids from making an emotional decision and give the incoming coach a chance, but the gray area for hiring/announced is interesting.

Wait, so now athletes have to wait until a new coach is HIRED before they can enter the portal?

Previously, it was immediately after the previous coach was fired.

The 7-8 year old Ravens finally put one in the win column 28-6.

Once our quarterback learned his left from his right for handoffs, our athleticism really shined.
