Please, please, *please* let there be a culture writer who, before 2025 ends, gets out a piece about this being a year of actors playing dual roles

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Was not hot on that first trailer, but I would like for this new one to be good so there's not a massive egg on anyone's face come May

Genuinely dunno enough about Wonder Man to say whether this'll be good or not, I do know a show about Marvel kinda taking the piss out of itself is both kinda overdue and possibly late to the party. Unsure what the rug pull is gonna be or if there'll even be one.

guards ignore—but are trained—that withdrawal is a life threatening condition, and ignoring someone in withdrawal is both deliberate and indifferent

the fact that they were *wrong* about this person’s emergency doesn’t make their conduct any less deliberate or indifferent

The suit says guards left him helpless on a jail cell floor in his own urine for hours

Joining the wave and saying Absolum is Very Good. A couple hours in and it’s scratching an interesting roguelike/beat-em-up itch, if this came out like 20 years ago, it’d have been The Game you talk about with your PS2 pals. And it looks GREAT:

Today’s the 25th anniversary of Spyro: Year of the Dragon, a game I personally think is one of the best platformers ever made. And I reflect on how PlayStation, and Insomniac, have sort of lost the spirit of these kind of games - and how I hope Astro Bot’s success can change that.

LMAOOOOO

A bunch of comedians tried to make up for their participation in the Riyadh comedy festival by donating their pay to Human Rights Watch and Human rights Watch was like “nah bitch we don’t want your dirty blood money” 😂😂 I’m dying

Update: Bari Weiss’s first pitch at CBS — a roundtable with Antony Blinken, Mike Pompeo, and Hillary Clinton that ended up being a virtual interview with Clinton & Condoleezza Rice — has about 150 viewers on YouTube.

Added with the 24/7 CBS stream, it’s just over 1200 viewers.

I have never jumped at reviewing a film quicker. The Netflix documentary WHO KILLED THE MONTREAL EXPOS is totally my jam. It's a heartbreaking tribute to a fanbase that deserves to get their team back.
