I double checked auto sync off! Paranoia. Tbh I could probably improve by only using trigger stays where needed and turning off shit in the matrix. But still!

Ah I saw a post, and they supposedly improved that! But mine seems to be trigger stay related: hellishly more expensive. Might just be in debug in editor. But still 12 fps worse even in editor annoying. I MIGHt try a build at later point

Each version of Unity is like a pet cat: you have to live with it for a while to discover its idiosyncracies. It was only after a few hours I found that little Unity 6 had a major issue with crapping on physics performance. #unity3d
