London builds itself on many great qualities, but we are at our finest when we care about others. The "truest language" - it will prove essential to our future as a city.

The @londonfoodbank.bsky.social is no longer just feeding the hungry - we're trying to shape this city’s conscience around its children, reminding us that every full stomach is an act of civic renewal. Too many of our infants are at risk.

Jane and I had a great evening with these folks last night at the Wortley Roadhouse. They're a great team that put music and community together in memorable fashion. A special thanks to all of you.

The hardships of our era have dimmed the light of the child inside us, leaving it timid and cautious. Yet it still whispers of wonder, play, and hope. Only by joining hands across our differences can we coax it back to life.

London's population is set to grow by over 50% in the next 25 years. What efect will that have on our food system? Find out on Path to Food Security tonight at 5:30 p.m. on Rogers TV London.

On this day in 1957, Lester Pearson won the Nobel Peace Prize. He had no idea it was coming. All he could say was "gosh." We honour his effort ... and his character. My kind of guy. No lobbying. No brash promotion. Just a dignified approach to humanity.

And that's just what Londoners have been doing for a week - digging deep, giving, being citizens extraordinaire, and putting community first. From all of us at the London Food Bank, thank you for particpating in the Thanksgiving Food Drive. It's been a week of meaning for us.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Here's to the future.

Going into these last 2 days of the Thanksgiving Food Drive, we thank all of you who extended the bonds of connection in this community by donating. Hard times can bring out the best in a community and you're affirming that again this year. Please help if you can.
#LdnOnt
The Thanksgiving Food Drive stands at 62,000 lbs, compared to 58,000 at this time last year. Londoners continue to show up when it's needed. This is the last big weekend for the drive. Help if you can, London, and thank you for your generosity this year. We know times are tough for many of you.

Food drives expose the deeper character of a city, showing whether its citizens see hunger as someone else’s problem or everyone’s shared responsibility. London has always made clear where it stands, and it's with compassion. Thank you, as ever London.

The Thanksgiving Food Drive is off to a great start. So far, 15,214 pounds have been donated, roughly the same as last year. Given how difficult a year this has been, it's amazing that Londoners always find a way to reach out . Thank you, London. The drive continues until October 13th.

Honoured to be with Jane and her sister Jennifer at Hike For Hospice (2025) - a very meaningful morning with some remarkably dedicated people.

We are putting this out on the food bank website this morning in preparation for the Thanksgiving Food Drive press conference on Thursday. It's crunch time and as a food bank - staff, board, volunteers - we feel prepared. Please help if you can, London ... and thank you.
The London Food Bank is not only sustained by generosity, it is enlivened by it - the joy in giving radiates as tangibly as the food itself. Thank you, London, not just for sharing your resources with us, but for extending your kindness to all meritable causes in this city.

Tonight on Path to Food Security, Glen talks about where London's food comes from and what effects tariffs might have on all the resources we've taken for granted for so long. It's on @Rogers TVLondon at 5:30 tonight (Thursday).
The city councils of Mississauga, Toronto, Kingston, Brantford, Smiths Falls, Cochrane, Brockville, Chatham-Kent and Orillia have all declared a state of emergency regarding food insecurity in their communities. It's real. It's here. And it's robbing us of our future. Time to deal with it.
