If they don't nuke the filibuster in spite of Trump pressure, that just means they expect to lose the Senate next year. A huge blue wave right after nuking the filibuster would be quite a face-plant.
As I understand it, their strategy seems to be 'we'll let people starve unless you let us ruin health care for millions.' I'm not sure people are going to buy into that.
I think we need more info on that suspicious $1,380 that Hunter Biden owed the former President. After all, as Republicans repeatedly told us, we're talking about the Biden crime family here!
Part of what makes this all unnerving to me is that some Republicans really seem to be acting like they'll never have to face the voters in a free and fair election again.
Our main-stream news media industry has been neutered and destroyed by large corporations and billionaires. They've made it irrelevant. Time for everyone to face that sad fact and move on to using critical thinking and independent sources to help us stay aware of what the hell is going on.
I'm guessing most of them are paranoid. Seems to me, there was much less hatred for the wealthy back when they paid more taxes. The middle class was relatively happy and there were still lots of rich people. We should go back to that model. Just a suggestion.
The reason I call it mental illness is simple: if you're a billionaire, at one time you had hundreds of millions of dollars... and it wasn't enough. IMO, that's just crazy.
I think it's both conspicuous consumption AND corruption. Back then, it was railroad barons. Now, it's tech titans. Different group, same mental illness: unbridled greed.
