Except his behavior does indicate the onset of dementia. They can give him drugs to slow down the progress a bit - I have a 75 year old friend on them now. He’s fine sometimes, then becomes totally confused. The drugs help. Wouldn’t be surprised if Trump is on them.

The Medicare cognitive test consists of the nurse giving you 3 words to memorize at the beginning of your visit. At the end of the exam, your doctor asks you for the 3 words. It’s silly. I have friends with dementia - those tests are extensive and completed by a neurologist at the families request.

You know who takes a cognitive test? People whose family members suspect their loved one is suffering from dementia. If he kept getting “perfect” scores…they wouldn’t keep administering them. My take? He blew the first one he ever took. Now, they’re tracking the decline. I’d bet my hot coffee on it.

My friends who retired to Florida said their doctor told them “vaccines for COVID and flu are hard to get here - they have been shut down by DeSantis. If you’re visiting Chicago, get them there.” And they did! Our “hellhole”has vaccines!
