Two weeks have flown by, but surprisingly when I checked the website stats, it's actually been busier without SM links than with! Therefore I won't be posting daily links to the website, but it will still be updated daily. The Facebook group will remain. I actually hate social media!
Racing Mirror on Saturday 3 October 1981 covered a superb weekend including the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp. Chepstow, Towcester and Kelso jumpers were also in action, as well as a flat card at Haydock.

Not much in the way of interaction today, but the horses I was looking for were Indian Diva, Saucy Belle, Never Rock & Prime Justice who were all making their rules debuts before going on to finish last in the 76-79 Grand Nationals. Rough Silk (72) was also right.
It's Monday quiz time! Four cards from the archives. Your task is to find one horse from each meeting, and tell me the unique thing they all did once in the 1970s. Answers after 6pm. All guesses and reposts etc are much appreciated...

US golf fans: the only crowd where ‘boo’ counts as public speaking. #rydercup2025
Ascot was televised on Saturday 25 September 1971, featuring the great Brigadier Gerard, as were the meetings at Catterick and Stratford. A curious Hamilton morning card and Market Rasen completed the day’s action.

Beaten again! Bashful Lad, Talon, Solihull Sport and Hallo Dandy were the four first fence fallers in the 1985 Grand National. @hazell767.bsky.social was the first to get it right followed by @johnracing.bsky.social well done, very impressive!
Quiz time, and a bit different this week. Four cards from history, all from 1978 or 1979. Your task is to find ONE horse from each card and then tell me what they all did pretty much simultaneously on one occasion in the mid 80s. CLUE: Look in the novice hurdles. Answers at 6pm.
Well done. Absolutely correct! Impressive...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
