It took me a while to figure out how exactly I wanted to use dithering to communicate texture and shadow.
I can't take too much credit for the general composition though, since I stuck to the reference rather closely.

Wow, I absolutely adore this. The long limbs, singular eye, bloody arms growing out of each other like branches - what a cool design.
Also, hiding the face and body in shadow to let the viewer fill in the features with their imagination is a classic horror trick. Excellent work! :D

An Eye for Detail

I had this idea months ago and finally realized it. It's the first mixel piece I am actually proud of. :)
