One of my students didn’t know the Statue of Liberty was a woman. We read an article that referred to her as “Lady Liberty” and he asked “is that the Statue of Liberty’s girlfriend? 😏” 😂😂

I’m going to choose to believe that Rick learned about Lycaon, a king of Arcadia, and it significantly influenced his worldview and led to him authoring 3 werewolf songs and Arcadia, which I guess could also be a werewolf song.

We talked about Thurgood Marshall being sworn in on this day in history, and the conversation led to someone asking “who was the first female president?” When I told them we haven’t had a female president, they were shocked! There were many gasps of outrage. I thought that was cute.
