Officially thankful for Asurion insurance through Verizon today. Broke my back glass on Saturday and today they repaired the back glass AND replaced the front glass (because why not?) for free 😁

Work has been a learning experience. I like it, though. I don’t like the phone calls but it’s not call center volume or call center rules so that’s nice. I also like going into the office again.

Today is my daughter’s last day of summer camp. Next week she’s going to grandma’s, the week after I’m taking PTO, and the week after that is when school starts (August 11). Very much looking forward to a break after all this training/learning.

Re-reading my last…tweet? (What do we call these?)…I felt the need to clarify that it’s still a job, not necessarily the best/easiest/etc, but the fact that I’m not (currently) dreading my workdays is very telling. And I actually have to DRIVE there 3 days a week.

It’s made me realize the days of jobs “placing” you somewhere else are gone. No, they want you to go through all the work yourself. Corporate America is a joke and honestly I’m GLAD I did a lateral move (although it’s honestly probably a small step down)

I’m still trying to process the last few months - finding out about my layoff, working for another 8 weeks, being “off” for 6 weeks, getting REHIRED during that time…I do not wish this emotional rollercoaster on anyone
