Their plan will shift, if not already. Once it sinks in that moving to Mars is impossible, the shift will be to autonomous weapons, AI, humanoid robots. It will be ostensibly for "the benefit of man". But it will really be for surveillance and eventual defense from masses who would rather them dead.

The magnetic field of Mars is nearly non-existent and this isn't compatible with a stable atmosphere. If man created an atmosphere it would be washed away by solar wind.

From what I see, there is intent to "deliberately inflict on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction" at least in part. I suspect if the more conservative parts of Israel had their way, it would be "in whole".
