Yep. Gatekeeping your vote (no matter what direction) is what republicans rely on.

“Candidate X is too left!” or “Candidate Y isn’t left enough!” are both equally productive for republicans and they love it.

The one thing they know: republican voters show up, and vote republican.

Democrats tried to end citizens united as part of their election reform package. Three times. Voters failed to give them sufficient numbers to get past republican opposition, and then (instead of correcting that ratio) decided to hand control of Congress to republicans.

Republicans and trump currently enjoy 90%+ approval ratings from republican voters. I’m not sure there’s anything left to republicans other than maga nutjobs.
