Thrall helped some earthen get more storm gryphon who later became a council member. Afterward had some pep talk with Anduin. I am kind of surprised they didn't throw in Jaina but all she did was kind of be sad about Dalaran. Khadgar was quickly kneecapped to never be the focus again.

Gazlowe was more impactful but I still feel like the SL one was worse just due to the fact almost everyone was dead or turned evil beyond like one after the first patch.

I feel like it took longer to clear on Mop compared to Legion remix. Since I was able at the gate run mythic raids without much gate keeping. Mop for a while still had to do some mechanics. I do feel more overwhelmed in Legion due the game throwing so much at you.

I love them both for different reasons. Panda are big teddy bears I like to hug. Goblins are good kissers and I say better tops. I still probably pick panda just don't know any many goblins myself.
