I wasn’t really getting a lot of impressive options for water types and that was more needed on the team… also if I had a nickel for every time I had a fire ghost starter in a pokemon game I’d have 2 nickels… which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice and in a row like that…

I’m probably never going to use it again… IDK just didn’t feel all that helpful TBH… and also Vaporeon due to the realization that i had used almost all the Eeveelutions and well I couldn’t use Flareon cause it’s a fire type like Skeliderge and it won out

It’s Legends ZA day and although I personally will not be getting Legends ZA until closer to the end of the year I still will mark the occasion with my final (for now) Pokemon teams with of course violet which I had managed to beat (DLC and all) at the end of last year…

I figured that due to how you get Ice stones in Legends Arceus I figured I’d probably never get a better chance to use Glaceon so decided now was the time but yeah kind of weird how it ended up this way where I’ve used most of the Eeveelutions and how it was mostly unintentional…

but I changed my mind to Glaceon due to not having a Pichu at that point and also to have more unique pokemon on the team (also realized at this point that I only have 4 Eeveelutions that I haven’t used yet being Vaporeon, Flareon, Sylveon and of course Glaceon

and also me already reusing pokemon in shining pearl already so having to mostly disregard that aspect… like seriously I actually would have used Luxray here just as an answer to flying pokemon with the only other valid candidate being Raichu

as for the others well it’s the standard need Pokemon to cover types and it kind of resulted in some more reused pokemon which is kind of due to just what was available (discounting fire and ghost pokemon)

as ALL three are Pokemon I used in a previous team in some way so I settled with Typhlosion due to it being my chosen pokemon for Johto… I think if I ever were to do another playthrough of Arceus though I think I’ll probably use Samurott and have Infernape on the team as well… just cause…

1 day until Legends ZA so what better way to mark the occasion than to show my team for the previous Legends game Legends Arceus now once again there are some reused pokemon… HOWEVER especially for the starters I didn’t really have a choice there…

I decided that whoever didn’t get used here would be used on a future team and well… Drapion only appears in Arceus Bronzong appears in Scarlet and Violet so when I reach those games I have more of a choice as to where Bronzong goes… but which team did it go on in the end…

but decided it didn’t matter in the end as it’s not like fairy pokemon are prevalent to any large degree in this game… so the poison typing ended up as mostly irrelevant… and also due to me using both quite a bit whilst trying to decide on who to make as the sixth team member

As for the sixth it was a tough choice as I needed some psychic coverage and had to choose between Drapion and Bronzong (due to it at least resisting psychic where I could have Luxray use crunch…) it was only tough because I don’t usually like having type overlap

so even if I tried to make it different (using Torterra) I’d probably still at least pick #Luxray and #Staraptor again… yeah not much different here… obviously couldn’t use Steelix cause I don’t have two switches nor 2 BDSP games so I needed a new ground type and chose #Gastrodon cause why not
