We gain an extra hour tonight, what will you do with yours?
By giving time towards the Extra Hour campaign, you’ll inspire thousands of people in the UK to put extra time to a positive cause in October.
These acts of kindness will come together to create a nationwide movement of neighbourliness.
Green Synergy is delighted to share the news that our CEO Ali Talbot has been recognised as the CEO of the Year (Therapeutic Horticulture) – Lincoln 2025 by the C-SUITE Insider - Empowering Visionary Leaders for Tomorrow's Success #Leadership #GreenLeaders bit.ly/4hmV58x
From our Garden to your Garden
Our stunning #FridayFlowers this week is the Hibiscus syriacus, commonly known as Rose of Sharon or Rose Mallow that is flowering on Ellie's Garden. It is a species of flowering plant in the mallow family, Malvaceae. It is native to east Asia and widely much of Europe and North America.
🌿 In Better Together, we’ve nearly finished sorting wheat, mulched the beds and tidied the polytunnel. As the garden rests, the cosmos in bloom reminds us there’s always colour and life to be found ✨🌸

This Monday, the incredible veterans from Green Chances took a trip to Hollywood Bowl. From friendly competition to shared laughter, it was a great reminder of the power of community and connection.

Thank you to those who joined us and congratulations to Al for the big win!

Thank you Lincolnshire Pork for donating pumpkins to our children's sessions. They will be using these to have their very own carved pumpkins today, photos to come this weekend.

In Green Wrap 🍂 we reflected on autumn as a time to let go, like trees releasing their leaves 🍁 We also sowed seeds 🌱 to nurture — just like ourselves.

As the days shorten and the air turns crisp, our garden begins its gentle transition into autumn. The vibrant greens fade into golden hues, and the rustle of leaves reminds us that nature is slowing down, preparing for rest.
Let’s embrace the season together.

An Autumn inspired first session for our Planting Hope group in Gainsborough!
This week we explored embossing metal leaves, inspired by nature and the heritage trees at Gainsborough Hall. Each participant created a unique design — from intricate leaf patterns to an amazing ammonite.

The Echium vulgare (Viper's Bugloss) is our stunning #FridayFlowers this week. It is a wildflower known for its vibrant blue funnel-shaped blooms and the bees on Hillside garden are truly loving it on this October day #GreenSpacesinUrbanPlaces #ChooseLocal
🌿 Last week in Better Together we stripped pallets for projects, sorted seeds, harvested veg & planted winter crops 🥕✨

Today, on World Food Day, we celebrate the importance of food—where it comes from, how it’s grown, and the journey it takes to reach our plates.
At Green Synergy, we honour this day by showcasing our very own wheat crop, grown with care in our community garden.

During last week's Better Together session, we had a surprise guest—a beautiful Acanthosoma, or 'Hawthorn Shield Bug'!
It landed right in the middle of our gathering, reminding us how nature has a way of showing up when we least expect it 💚
