They don't have a rational response to stop reform, they dont care about Ireland or its citizens, they're just terrified of losing power.

By blocking Steen they thought they'd shore up the conservative vote. Then Gavingate: & Martin, FF & FG all lose support

The Australian Constitution excludes anyone with a criminal conviction with a penalty of 12 months imprisonment or more, from running for, or holding, MP (TD) office in the Parliament.

Be good if the Irish Constitution had a similar requirement.

No process in Ireland is truly independent.

It might sometimes APPEAR independent but when you look closer you see that everything is ultimately controlled by the establishment elite.
