Agree. This could go either way. He clearly has a few issues that need monitoring. But this is to be expected at his age. Then again, something serious could be going on, but they won't tell us.

Nice picture. People are probably correct it's a European Cross orbweaver. This is an introduced species in the states, and is common on the east and west coasts.
