Alright, I have decided to compromise with the burnout.

I'll do a few chores and run a couple errands and THEN I will take some edibles. That seems fair.

So on the docket:
-Dishes
-Sweep/mop
-Clean bathroom
-Clean litter boxes
-Buy cat food

Then:
-Get high

Also you know what is insane about this line of thinking here specifically? I used to have no issue dropping $40 on a movie every other weekend while in high school, granted I didn't have bills or rent back then, but still... WTF happened to me?

exhausted and burnt out right now that I kinda want to go buy a pack just so I can get a good night's sleep tonight, and I actually have today off to enjoy it. Assuming my burnout will let me.

But... should I? Is it worth spending $20 for a few hours of fun and a good night's sleep?

instead. It's like my brain keeps ping-ponging between two extremes: If I don't stress everything I won't be prepared for an emergency and I just want to relax and have fun once in a while.

And yeah, that's burnout, that's the burnout talking. Maybe I should just get high and sleep.

have to revolve around preparing for one emergency after another? Should I be allowed to have fun at all? when I sit down to play a game I feel like I'm wasting time (oh hi burnout, please go away), but when I DO use my time to complete a chore or task I feel like I wish I had done something fun
