It seems to be a core principle within Silicon Valley. There is merit in being contradictory and unconstrained, especially in the pursuit of new ideas. But like... you can't run a society without guardrails.
It's been bothering me that one of the key reasons Musk is seen as capable is that he ignores laws and systems. The more this is incentivized, the more we think laws and systems are inherently bad. And it stops working when laws and systems stop existing.
It tastes amazing and I’d thoroughly recommend trying it once
I’ve seen a negative feedback loop be very useful- i.e. have a way to acquire and parse feedback from people who disengaged. Make it as easy as possible to provide and parse it very clearly and quickly.

Solves ‘yes well my churn is increasing and trial stickiness is reducing but why?’
Sorry to hear that. It’s never easy, even when you’re expecting it
I see, that’s unfortunate. Plenty of companies will see the MSFT tag and be open to hiring you now though
It’s good to hear that you feel better off. I’m confused by why you feel they wouldn’t hire you back though. I don’t believe any large company holds layoffs against the person laid off.
Gave up on it after the bees cause I was just not having a good time. Sorry to hear that there isn’t even a toy at the end of it
Hmm. Wonder if Yuzheng will keep posting on the YT channel
That’s fair. Not knocking the need for a hobby, I just found it interesting that the personal ‘state’ or sense of self being rooted in building didn’t really go anywhere, just found a new outlet. Happy to hear this is fulfilling
I find it funny that you decided to ‘take a break’ and went straight into building something else :)
Happy birthday! This will not help.
Agreed. The actual experience wasn’t very fun for large periods
Artifact power and legendaries were a trash fire but nothing has topped Suramar or the class halls for me yet. Was such a shame to abandon them.
Feels like the first line here was understood by a wider audience but the rest was not
Congratulations! Hope whatever’s next keeps you happy and fulfilled.
Might need a priest tbh.
It would be nice to have something to be collectively excited about besides internet and internet-adjacent things because it really feels like we’ve run out of ideas, but are trundling along because we don’t know what else to do.
This is the first time I’ve seen you bring it up so.. how often do people do/say this sort of thing? Sounds frustrating to need to manage.
I think that’s a fair critique. My annoyance with ‘this will change the world’ frameworks is that they can’t be countered, because you move the framing so far out of the current way we perceive things that it boils down to a FOMO conversation.
