Super fond/nostalgic for the greenish tones, wonderful stuff. I’d never considered lavender to that level of color, more just cool grays, but seeing it there… looks great.

I quite like the idea of the core frame metals being a bit more muted, then the outer armor colors (blue, red) being louder - painted fresh for battlefield presence (like a flag)

Yeah @landadu.bsky.social also suggested the Mars element with the right option. I think it’s a neat reading, and could be fun to explore. I might stay on the more neutral side for this build, but would love to give it a go with a smaller kit. If adding weathering too, it’d be quite striking.

Masking can be a little time consuming, but always satisfying when you don’t totally mess it up 😅 Couldn’t resist giving the Gundam Zirius frame a few metallic details here and there, to help break it up.

Question! Looking at paint options for the MG Gundam Barbatos Lupus. Barbatos being one of few mobile suits for which I’d go with gold over yellow. Which of these three tones speaks ‘Barbatos Lupus’ to you? 🤔

Yeah, the clear runners are typically quite hard/brittle - they don’t offer much give when cutting. A neat cut with a fairly good pair of nippers - but not as fragile as GodHand Ultimates - is usually a safe bet.

I don’t usually go for clear color, but I feel like if you sprayed more of a smoke clear color on the transparent parts, this new Mechanical Clear MGEX Strike Freedom Gundam could go pretty hard.

As far as I’m aware, this is an IBO specific thing - there are books etc! But you never know I guess. I’ve just added pics in a comment following the main one here, hopefully helpful!
