Today, I talked to a closeted young evangelical whose day job is to make life miserable for LGBTQIA+ folks.

I hope that she discovers the Jesus who hung out with lepers & prostitutes - the Jesus who commanded his followers to accept those of a different gender / sexual orientation (eunuchs).

I have witnessed this in person in a county jail in Georgia. We lost our own visitation with our families one weekend for protesting to get medical care for a woman recently arrived. The guards said she was "faking" it but we didn't care, we didn't want to see someone in that condition-real or not.

I am considering those options. I try to use the VA as much as possible here, and believe me it's not much. They only want to see me once a year now and my next visit is scheduled for Jan 16, with me going in on the 9th for preappointment bloodwork.
