It took some countries many decades or even centuries under the yoke of brutal colonialism before a critical mass of the public in some such countries were willing to act and take a stand by boycotts, general strikes, refusal to pay taxes, avoiding new goods markets. Some start earlier than others.

Give it to the big donor-hooked Democratic Party office holders to screw the pooch on this. The more “centrist” or “center-right” the Democrats go for elections in a state like Maine, the more they are empowering Republicans longer term.
