A landscape shot of The Salt River in Arizona. The river is blue-grey with white from the sun reflecting off the river. In the background along the bank of the river is brown and slightly green brush from left to right. A small hill can be seen beyond slightly to the right of middle behind the brush/trees. And the sky in the top third of the shot is light blue. A landscape shot of the shore of The Salt River in Arizona. The shoreline curves from the bottom right toward the middle and back out near the upper right. The shoreline curves is rocky, tan, and forms a slope into the background. There are some green bushes on the top left and along the top of the photo. The water is a dark blue with the shore reflecting off of it and white bubbles lining where it touches the shore. Where the water has pulled back from the shore, the land is dark brown. There is a small black bird standing on the dark brown portion of shore. A landscape shot of The Salt River in Arizona. The shore curves along from the bottom right to the background. There is green and brown foliage along the shore from mid right to the top. The water is a dark blue-grey with white light from the sun reflecting off. A woman in a blue shirt, white hat, and dark shorts stands ankle-high in the water staring down. Kayakers can be along the horizon on the water. The background has dark green foliage along the outer shore, with the silhouettes of mountains in the back. The sky at the top of the photo is a light blue with some cumulonimbus clouds along the top right. A similar shot to the last with more of the focus being on the sky and horizon. The foliage along the right bank and the shore are more silhouetted, the water appears a darker blue-grey, and the foliage on the outer bank is also silhouetted. More of the sky can be seen, with a large, cumulonimbus cloud covering the sun in the top right. The clouds are a grey with white along the edges where the sun shines through. "Old Point Loma Lighthouse," photographed by Conway Darkroom

#photography #fotografia #PhotographersUnited #artistsofbluesky #art #supportartists

Prints: https://www.framergallery.com/s/image/214026?source=bluesky
The original Point Loma lighthouse was one of 6 lighthouses constructed by the US Govt. when California was admitted to the Union.

Construction was completed in 1855 on, when operating, what was the highest elevation lighthouse in the United States. On foggy nights the lighthouse keeper would sometimes discharge a shotgun to warn ships away.

On March 23, 1891, the flame was permanently extinguished and the light was replaced by the New Point Loma lighthouse at a lower elevation.

A brown fence (colored somewhat purple from the lighting) is on the right side of the photo. The photo is shot close to the ground and the fence extends into the background and middle of the shot. There is sparse green grass and some dirt in the foreground. There is a light brown brick fence in the background, some cloudy/light grey sky, and trees along the right of the background behind the fence. A metal wind art in the shape of a flower is centered in frame between two tree trunks and in front of a low brown fence. The metal artwork has six “petals” made of curving bronze metal that overlaps and shifts in the wind. The background is full of trees with snippets of a light grey sky peaking through gaps in the trees and leaves. The background of a sign post can be seen in the bottom left of frame. The silhouette of a dead tree stands in the middle of frame, coming out from behind a wooden shed in the foreground. The branches are twisted and arc in multiple directions. The silhouette is in front of a medium grey sky filled with clouds and darker green trees frame the left and right sides of the shot. There is a green bush partially obscuring the shed in the bottom right. A brown/red dirt road in the foreground leads to two buildings in the background. The building in front is one story and the building in the back has high windows above a lower sloped roof. The road is lined by trees and the foliage partially obscures the sides and top of the photo. The sky is light blue above the buildings with white wispy clouds. A fence lines the left side of the dirt road.

Shot a 2nd test roll with the Fuji G617 we picked up recently. The first roll was blurry, and I was about to send it for service before I realized the pressure plate was set to 220.

Fun fact - it was last serviced in 1989 by Tempe Camera, who I visit weekly. Their late owner did the repair himself

In a flood event, the place I’m standing for this photo would be underwater in a matter of minutes.

An 8x10 photograph of Spur Cross Conservation Area. Spur Cross is located in Cave Creek, AZ, and is partially made up of land from old cattle ranches. The ranchers would've raised cattle and driven them down Scottsdale Road for sale in town. A relic of a long forgotten time in this city, that's for sure.
