"The Hanford nuclear site is preparing for many Dept of Energy workers to be furloughed starting Monday. Contractor employees, who account for the majority of Hanford jobs, will work as long as money holds out, whether a few weeks or well into December."

Testing has already started on melters 1 & 2 separately, but you can still submit comments on testing both of the melters at the same time. The comment period is open through Nov 1. This comment period does not change the anticipated timeline for solidifying Hanford's tank waste in glass by Oct 15.
