Being nude outside in winter is very tricky and it makes the months to summer feel impossibly far away. I’m so thankful for my humble wood-burning sauna that I got this year. I can still be outside and, if I close my eyes, I can picture laying on the beach fully bathed in the rays of the sun.

I’ve met someone who doesn’t make me feel like a weirdo for being nude in the yard so I’ve been really discovering our woods—and we added a small sauna which helps too! I visited a resort for the first time this summer after nearly turning around twice. But I loved it! Definitely more of that!!

It’s hard! Those voices are so loud. I’m living in this weird place where I still feel very uncomfortable and exposed on a textile beach and completely free and unashamed when on nude one.
Sorry you know what I’m talking about. It was definitely a lesson in listening to my authentic self. All the voices around me said to cover up and hide. The inside voice, which I ultimately couldn’t silence, said GO! BE FREE! I feel at peace (only?) when I listen to the latter voice.
I think I was about 17. In turning 40 in a few months.
I used to be made fun of a lot causing me to cover up everything. Sometimes at night, I would go outside and take my clothes off when I knew I was completely alone. I felt like a freak, but then was shocked to learn others did the same. Even in daylight. Right then, I knew I found my tribe!
False! It’s just easier cleanup.
I recently visited the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail starting in Cheshire, MA. It was beautiful from start to finish. Definitely worth revisiting during foliage season. I even found a monument in the shape of a cheese press! #railtrail
It’s also good to avoid the notion that libraries are just about the books. (Not that there’s anything wrong with books!)
It’s cold and rainy outside. This guy knows what to do.
Yeah! I loved finding out that the concept of trail angels/magic are also known in bike packing. I haven’t done a thru but I did hike the AT for a month once. Life can blur by at a million miles an hour. But it’s so beautiful when you can experience it only as fast as your legs can carry you.
You make all kinds of trade offs! Carry everything and be bogged down with extra weight, route yourself through towns and supply at stores as you need. Or splurge and hop between breweries and B&Bs.
Hey! I’m from southern New England and I’ve recently traded hiking for biking…and didn’t even realize there was such a thing as bike packing! I’m currently planning all the trips.
Hiking Trails!!

Proximal to bodies of water.

And I say bring back the full meaning of gym.
