Reffing is so inconsistent, every team has a legitimate beef. The Oilers have been on the other end of it many times. Definitely HABS had a legitimate beef.

Oilers were awful. I wouldn’t count on that continuing. The Oilers have started slow every year. Even going 2-9-1 a couple of years ago.

Can guarantee whatever was said questioned the officials integrity. (and I am not justifying the call, I thought the reffing was questionable). But I saw the ref snap back at whatever was said and immediately make the call.

I give the Habs fans credit. They were loud. Louder than the Oiler fans, though I think it was because we were too busy cursing the Oilers all night.

Did you read my post? I agree the reffing was ridiculous especially the last call, but that was a penalty and undisciplined. Whether the ref missed 10 other calls that doesn’t make that penalty not one.

and FYI I was at the game and as I said I still think the last penalty was soft but he definitely said something to the ref and what ever it was caused the penalty. I saw that happen, so it was not the player shooting it down the ice.

the boarding call was soft? He hit a player on the numbers face first into the boards. Come on Brian. Thats a penalty every day and twice on Sunday. I can agree that the Oilers got the benefit of soft calls, especially the last one but the boarding call was an undisciplined penalty.

i’m an oiler fan and I’m certainly not a redneck, don’t own a gun, and don’t believe Nationality has any bearing re: knowledge of hockey. Just as being an Oiler doesn’t make you a redneck or believe something stupid another Person who happened to be an Oiler fan believes.
