Tatu City was initially launched as a real estate venture; however, over the past few years, it has evolved into a multifaceted ecosystem comprising industries, commerce, and residential areas.
The creation of Tatu was primarily driven by the rise in poverty and overcrowding in Nairobi.

On paper, Oceanix sounds promising; however, how would we sustain and maintain such a city built on the ocean?
It also introduces an alternative to "megacities" by prioritizing sustainability, as well as the regeneration of local habits and biodiversity.
Oceanix would comprise three interconnected islands, each designed for specific purposes: living, research, and lodging.
The goal behind Net City is to prioritize the needs of people and the environment over those of cars by creating an interconnected, organic environment that can serve as a template for future cities.

Organic and environmental friendly.

The Orbirt feels more like an innovative city, with a focus on technological innovations, "a visionary city of the future centered around a transit hub." It is important to note that Innisfil was one of the few towns to test out Uber and also accept cryptocurrency payments.

Could this project truly live up to the expectations? A diverse, eco-smart, self-sustainable city in the middle of the desert with a small ecological footprint?
Could Telosa be seen as a blueprint on how to use open land, such as desert, to create eco-friendly cities?
Only time will tell...
a model where sustainability and modernism are not the only main goals. Diversity is the main focus; up to 5 million people are expected to reside in Telosa. a utopian society with a grandiose architecture, water-resistant footprints and a small ecological footprint, and a society with no taxes.

It is also Important to note that since September 2023, many families who have inhabited Rempang Island have been forcibly evicted and provided "temporary" accommodations.
The Development of Rempang city has sparked many protests throughout the Island. Another urban project raising questions....
of Rempang Eco-city. This supposedly "eco-city" is not as eco-friendly as investors want us to believe; the construction of such a city would cause disturbance and the disparagement of many natural resources, due to a need for sand dredging, land reclamation, etc..
Rempang Island is located on indigenous land, with about 7,500 inhabitants who have lived there for many generations. Many of these populations are planned to be moved after Indonesian President Jokowi and Chinese President Xi Jinping signed an agreement of about USD 1.6 billion, for the development

Rempang city was announced in 2004; however, no development started until 2022.
This Indonesian island is projected to be an ‘Eco-City,’ but at what cost?
Rempang Eco City is one of Indonesia’s National Strategic Projects and is envisioned as an engine that will drive Indonesia’s economic growth. But what of those who already live there?

Locals are left on their own, dealing with high rent prices, increased cost of living due to urban speculatism, and the divergence of ideas between the rich and the lower social class.
I totally agree.. I have posted about a couple of urban projects in cities throughout Africa, and I have realized that many, such as Tatu, are exhibiting characteristics similar to small elites enclaves, which end up benefiting a small portion of the population.
while moving away from labor-intensive resources such as concrete.
