Maybe try a medium you wouldn’t normally use so that it feels easier to lean into a lack of control by using something already unfamiliar

When my mom died I went through the wringer. Couldn’t afford therapy, but I threw myself into drawing reproductions of my street photos in oil pastels. It wasn’t really what I was drawing - but the act of making really expressive motions with the pastels - felt therapeutic & helped me keep creating

This morning I did a few art drops on NE Alberta St., put up a sticker of a bird wearing Chelsea boots right as a woman was crossing the street wearing Chelsea boots, and found a framed botanical illustration of damask roses in an alleyway.
