Welcome to Bluesky🤗

Here’s some guidance ~ you’ll want to change some default settings, and also, you’ll want to subscribe to some feeds.

First, I recommend adjusting your settings:
bsky.app/profile/hill...

Next, you’ll want to add some feeds.

🦋Settings Recommendations:

- Check & adjust settings in “Moderation”.

- Check “Languages” and see what’s under “Content Languages”. If nothing is selected, all languages will show. If you have one or more languages specified, only posts in those languages will show.

Reply here with questions, comments, and suggestions.

I'm also happy to review the Feeds you made!

Also comment with your Feed once you're done making it, I'll be happy to add it to the list of Feeds I recommend. 😄

Intermediate Guide to Setting up Feeds: Use Lists

Set up a List of Users to add, and a List of Users to filter.

First, create two lists on your account.

Click "Lists" then "+ New".

People can see if they’re on a list, so name them carefully so users know what the list is about.

Advanced Guide to Setting up Feeds: Add single users

Feeds only show 3 days worth of posts, and are limited to keywords.

Adding a user list overcomes the keyword limitation, but only for users that post exclusively for your fandom, and posts are still limited to 3 days.

You now have your basic feed set-up!

You can publish the Feed, upload an avatar image, write a description, etc.

You can continue to make changes, too. See my other guides:

Intermediate Guide to Setting up Feeds: Find unique keywords

(A) Test each keyword to see what posts show.
In this example, I could not use “TADC” because too many un-related posts appear.

Instead, I changed it to three formats: “#TADC”, “TADC ”, and “ TADC” (#TADC|TADC | TADC)

I recommend adding these defaults:

Top.+words|AIイラスト|AIart|#AI.+animeart|AIillust|AIimage|ArtAI|aigirl|stablediffusion|PixAI|PonyXL|twitter.com|x.com|amzn.|www.amazon.com|amazon.+timesale|onlyfans.com|www.instagram.com|Follow.+twitter|We love bluesky|👉こちらのページ

Click “+ Add Block”

Add another “RegEx” block.

Select “Image Alt Text” and “Link” so all three Targets are green.

Check the “Invert” box. Now everything in this block will be removed from the feed.

Continued -
Change:

RegEx: Add keywords. Place the “|” symbol (the vertical bar, not L or i) between keywords to separate them. Spaces matter.

Select “Image Alt Text” under Target. Both “Both Text” and “Image Alt Text” should be green.

So instead I put anything that comes up that overlaps in the RegEx Invert box:

“Madoka Ayukawa|higuchi madoka|madoka kikuta|Madoka Kubota|saito madoka|#oc:madoka”

(D) The most important words:

Sometimes, a very important word for a fandom will still overlap with some other posts. In that case, I’ll use the Invert Regex box to eliminate overlapping words.

For example, “Madoka” is too important to the Madoka Magica feed to modify or eliminate.

So I’ve learned to use both “Genshin” and “原神” for the Genshin Impact Feed, plus the English and Japanese versions of the character names.

Fans will post in English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Thai, you name it - I’ll use all the words I can find so everyone is included.

Continued -
(C) Add words in other language:

Sometimes I find a Rosetta stone post - someone who posts tags in multiple languages.

For example, this post has Genshin impact tags in both English and Japanese.

I based the keywords on what I see in posts that should be in the Feed.

You’ll need to continuously check your feed to add, remove, and modify keywords.

so I looked for other ways to pull in Jax content.I was able to use (#jaxx|jaxpom|TADC.+jax|jax.+TADC|jaxtadc). There’s no need to use #tadcjax because that’s redundant with #tadc.

In the end I used:

#jaxx|jaxpom|TADC.+jax|jax.+TADC|jaxtadc|#pomni| pomni |#ragatha

Continued -
I checked them: pomni|ragatha|jax

Without hashtags or other tricks, they pulled in too many unrelated posts. So I decided to use hashtags with them based on the other posts I saw.

#pomni|#ragatha

This didn’t work for #jax which was still too common,

(B) Find what others are using for keywords. You can do this using the very Feed you’ve already started.

In this example, someone with #TADC in their post also has several other keywords.

Continued -
For example, these are all different keywords:

#TADC|TADC | TADC|TADC.+art|art.+TADC|TADC art|TADC/|/TADC

“TADC.+art” will pull all posts that have the words “TADC” and “art” in the same paragraph, except “TADC art” together, which will register as a different keyword in the script.

Continued -
Spaces matter. I add spaces before and/or after the word and before the | vertical bar to change what posts are pulled.

You can also use “.+” (period then plus sign) to capture posts with two words that aren’t consecutive.

Again, the List URL is for my Filter list. I include AI artists, people who only post screencaps, accounts that post art that isn’t theirs (sometimes inadvertently), spam accounts, etc.

I remove heavy screencap posters because they slow the Feed load time.
