Reminds me of:

"The hidden activity of those who are fully consecrated to abiding in Presence is the highest form of skillful action."

In Japan, Ganesha is known as Kangiten.

“The joyous deity.”

Ganesha

Lord of beginnings and endings, of the movement from chaos to order. Remover of obstacles.

He embodies intellectual and spiritual power - and prosperity.

In Thailand, they call him Phra Phikanet.

The first offering in any puja (ritual to awaken the Divine Presence) goes to Ganesha.

Mention is made of two classes of yogis: the hidden and the known. Those who have renounced the world are “known” yogis: all recognize them. But the “hidden” yogis live in the world. They are not known.

All the other theistic schools … stop with three things, a triangle: God, individual, and the world. … Advaita Vedanta goes beyond that and says that there is a deeper reality, a higher reality. Beyond the individual, beyond the world, and beyond God even.

Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life.

Diversity

To obliterate every other religion than one’s own is a sort of Bolshevism in religion which we must try to prevent.

Ha! A friend recently waited on line in NYC and loved it, and the event and meditation that followed. Have to keep mindful of her US schedule so I go one day.

The Flow (2)

Being completely involved in an activity for its own sake. The ego falls away. Time flies. Every action, movement, and thought follows inevitably from the previous one, like playing jazz.

Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi (who studied Indic thought extensively)

The Flow

There have been moments in your life when you were pure awareness. No concepts, no thoughts like “I am aware” or “That is a tree” or “Now I am meditating,” just pure awareness. Openness. A spacious quality in your existence.

All will surely realize God. All will be liberated. It may be that some get their meal in the morning, some at noon, and some in the evening: but none will go without food.

Love is our true essence. Love has no limitations of caste, religion, race, or nationality. We are all beads strung together on the same thread of love.

True civilization does not mean congregating in cities and living a foolish life, but going Godward, controlling the senses, and thus becoming the ruler in this house of the Self.

A state of harmony with nature, with all beings of creation, itself leads to our harmony with humans.
If we lose our relationship with nature, we lose inevitably
our relationship with humans.

Rig Veda 10.191.2–4

Let us move together, let us speak together, let our minds be in harmony.

Let our efforts be united, our hearts be as one — so that we may live well together.

The secret of action is to get established in equanimity, renouncing all egocentric attachments, and forgetting to worry over our successes and failures.

The great secret of true success, of true happiness, is this: the man or woman who asks for no return, the perfectly unselfish person, is the most successful.

I often see God in just quick flashes of things whether it be the sun glinting off the wet grass, the sun shining on a leaf or the eyes of a stranger. The more I keep God in my heart the more often this seems to happen. Jai Sri Krishna.
