In June 2024, Gabbard and her husband swore under oath that their house in a suburb of Austin, Texas, was their family homestead. This made them eligible for a Texas homestead tax exemption, which applies to a person's primary, full-time residence.

May 2025, Trump accepted a Boeing 747-8 jet from Qatar to replace the aging Air Force One fleet. The aircraft was a "gift" valued at $400 million, the U.S. will incur a billion-dollar costs to retrofit it for presidential use. Boeing is already building replacements for Airforce 1 & 2.
