okay so yeah not my favorite (The Thing will always be my #1 of his) too much action/fighting, not much horror or cool fx , and pretty slow at parts, but i liked that it got its point across i guess?? i didn’t hate it but it was very Meh to me. also that very last sex scene shot??? the fuck

THANK YOU god it’s nice to know i’m not the only one. i’m so picky about fight scenes (for some reason i enjoy sword fighting??) most of them bore the hell out of me. this movie leans a little too much on the action for my taste too

watching They live (1988) and i am picky about john carpenter movies, i can rarely stand his leading male characters but this is pretty okay so far. classic toxic masculinity but it’s still pretty funny and interesting even though it’s slow and has too much brawlin

crystals form in my eyes, already sharp against my eyelids, they start to bleed. the way the light reflected on them was mesmerizing, but now all i see is red. once my eyes are fully formed geodes they will have to be cracked open to be removed. then, the process will begin again.
