Working through my USMNT rewatch and I'm still impressed with how they used their strength advantage in the second half, winning balls and then shielding possession to buy time.

The movement of Tessman and Morris has been interesting. Pochettino having them cover for Weah and Arfsten's defensive deficiencies by sliding out wide, providing the width in front of the back 3 as they methodically prod into the attacking half.

Balogun can be a target man on an island while the US try to play through pressure, and he can track back into the midfield and create for himself. No one else in the player pool possesses that flexibility.
