Okay I ended up buying Absolum and it's legit. Has that Hades approachability, but doesn't feel as simple as Castle Crashers. Also full of handsome guys and gals. Not sure if I'm at emergency 7-minute video positive yet but big recommend so far!

Thinking about the time I combined all the classic YouTube reviewers together to create the ultimate reviewer

I can guarantee it will be graph heavy

Okay maybe time to stop doing data analysis and write the thing

Please BSKY a crumb of "let me edit these after posting once I've noticed the grammatical errors"

A demo should be dropping for this at Next Fest, but Absolum uses a run-based, Rouge-lite structure to give some body to the usual Beat 'Em Up has me pretty interested to give it a whirl. Not a genre I've usually jammed with, but this might be a great in. Looks fabulous too

They never acknowledge he was at all of these tragic events in subsequent movies, nor would have been unlikely to survive. Maybe they throw in a few Red Herrings like him taking a plane ride with Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper (but not that one)

You keep seeing flashes of a presidential inauguration upcoming, then the film ends with a teacher writing January 6th 2021 on a whiteboard and the camera zooming out from Robert Pattison chilling in Capitol Building

Been really affirming to hear the latest videos have helped get new people in front of some great games. Us wee games writers and indie devs are in this together 🙏

*Which explains the somewhat sensationalist title as Operius DX is much more than a web game 👀

I wonder whether reactionary/critical writing is treated inherently "right-wing" now, and vice versa of trying to meet a game on its level almost to the point of handwaving any critique. And part of that feels like a reaction to the meaner games writing pre-2014 (when there was more money in it).

It is shocking that the big downfall of almost all remasters seems to be the ousting of colour correction/expansion of lighting that neuters shading. Part of it I think feels like a residual guilt from the bloom and brown 360 era, but really lacks a clarity of vision now. Not a fan!

I think a good critic (not me) can manage both

I'd even add it's partially down to how YouTube criticism has sorta enveloped previews/reviews/technical analysis etc, the same way Video Essay has become the catch-all term for anything relatively factual. It's created weird expectations that, if you're sticking strictly to a format, tips the table
