'What a wonderful thing it is to be part of that universe.'

🌌🌎🪐

This wonderful humanist perspective from Professor Brian Cox reminds us that we're all made of stardust!

Found in the Little Book of Humanist Funerals.

Image description:
A page on a book reads 'story is the story of the Universe. Every piece of everything, of everything you love and everything you hate, of the thing you hold most precious, was assembled by the forces of nature in the first few minutes of the life of the Universe, transformed in the hearts of the stars or created in their fiery deaths. And when you die, those pieces will be returned to the Universe in the endless cycle of death and rebirth. What a wonderful thing it is to be part of that Universe. What a story, what a majestic story.

A wedding without religious content doesn’t mean a ceremony without cultural traditions!

Mercedes and Nurkanat chose to include meaningful rituals that celebrated their cultures, such as jumping the broom, a tea ceremony, and including traditional Kyrgz wedding attire.

Humanist weddings in Northern Ireland are now second only to civil and Catholic marriages in popularity.

Wedding traditions can be wonderful, but some rituals and norms might not feel quite right for you as a couple. In that case it's okay to change them or leave them out completely. ❤️

Your wedding should reflect you and your love story, not the expectations of others.

Are you planning a funeral or memorial for someone who wasn’t religious?
