Hi, I'm Sena!
I'm a queer disabled freelance illustrator and I specialize in creating character art. I'm fairly comfortable working with a variety of fantasy races and species from different fandoms, and enjoy using vibrant colors to breathe life into my work.

Two elves floating in murky water with rose petals falling from above. One of them is pregnant and is holding a sunflower. Melara and Halsin covered in purple flowers, enjoying a private moment under the moon. An argonian, an altmer and a spirit bear ready to fight. Two sapphic characters in a hug.

+it would be directly available to all people, and we wouldn't have to rely on (unfortunately) limited knowledge about a feed for that.

That's not the same thing, but thank you for letting me know.

Luminous Depths, Aug 2025

Mixed pen illustration of a serpentine, bioluminescent deep sea dragon for Smaugust, curled in an S shape, with the tail at the top and head at the bottom. The body of the dragon is mostly black with shades of dark blue, purple, and dark teal, and there are brightly colored spots, with the biggest being green spots resembling the patterns of orcas and behind large barely visible black eyes. More elongated yellow, light green, and light blue spots are scattered along the trunk while smaller spots of varying colors including pink and orange line the spine. Large colorful glowing fins emerge from the middle back and under the chin, and the tail to the neck is lined on the dorsal side and underside with a continuous multicolor fin.

The background is almost completely filled in with black pen, with some shapes cut out from the darkness, including squid and shark shapes near the top with light coloring in teal/purple and yellow/orange respectively, bubbles throughout, and a few strange deep sea inspired creatures, as well as distant glowing green, yellow, and purple lights. By the dragon's head is a colorful creature with a dolphin shaped body and a head with a mouth that is like the trunk of an elephant with teeth lining it. There is a large glowing coelacanth in the middle left by an orange snake, and an eel-like creature at the top with an orb by its mouth like an anglerfish near the squid.

Framing everything is the very long and thinner tail and body of another creature, another sea serpent that is much bigger and has a small sail on its back like a sailfish. Sea Turtle Reef, Mar 2020

Acrylic painting of a green sea turtle swimming down through turquoise waters lit by sun beams and facing a lovely and warm toned coral reef with various kinds of corals and anemones, sea grass, and stone. Several tropical fish including clownfish, angelfish, tangs, and others swim among the reef. In the background a few schools of fish are visible, and there are a few large jellyfish, one very close to the sea turtle. Pangender Snowbank, Aug 2025

Digitally painted landscape with a pink and peachy orange sunrise sky, the sun slightly blurry and yellow, rising over a mostly pink river with chunks of floating ice that reflect the peachy pink river, and a distant snowbank lined with trees marks the horizon on the right, and curves into the river slightly. The bottom left snowbank in the foreground has more distinct shapes cutting into the water to form a shore/bank as well as snow dusted reeds and a few small trees. Snow is falling on the scene. Leaping for Life, Aug 2025

Abstract deer leaping upwards with a curved back, curly multipronged antlers, and loosely defined legs, with looping lines crossing through and overlapping the deer and forming the background, which is fully filled in with color. Some areas are scribbled a lot and have small white spaces as a result, most of which are filled with spots of color. Others are open and have patterns, cross hatching, color fills, several spots with blended colors, and a section to the left with colorful repeated lines interrupting each other. The deer is breathing out bands of color and is colored in multiple patterns.
The colors of the piece are a full spectrum from pinks and purples to yellow, orange, red, greens, and blues.

Better ideas are very welcome btw. This one was just something that came up in a discussion with other disabled artists and art enthusiasts.

of us deserve to exist in more accessible spaces, where all disabilities are taken into account. Including ones that do not allow for enough resources or cognitive abilities to write useful ALT text content.

Cheers,

significant pressure off of the disabled (artist) community.

For many of us the current format isn't accessible at all, and our visually impaired friends deserve much better, too.

I know we aren't much of a priority, but I hope you will take this request into consideration, as I believe that all

Something akin the "Community Notes" from Twitter, just for images. So that volunteers can provide the text instead, taking

All of us deserve accessibility and none of us should be made to feel bad or unwelcome for being unable to do something, that able-bodied individuals dont seem to have a problem with.
That counts for both visually impaired people as well as anyone else with disabilities.
hyeleth.bsky.social
Like I've mentioned, for example, community alt text that people can make submissions for would be a really nice way of helping everyone.

One has to tackle this issue at its root, which is the way it is set up, instead of expecting one group of disabled people to make sacrifices for the other.
hyeleth.bsky.social
The thing is that even if there was a Discord like this, that's still an additional step people just dont have the spoons for.
We really just need an updated ALT text system. Otherwise, I dont see it being accessible for everyone :<
hyeleth.bsky.social
is just as much of a victim in this situation, because providing alt text is inaccessible to them.
hyeleth.bsky.social
provide it, because their disability might have literally disabled them from being able to add it. As in, you never know if somebody is disabled or not. So it's also important to recognize that by refusing to engage with their art, you (general you)are potentially hurting another disabled person who
hyeleth.bsky.social
And tbh I did just realize that I should have provided the text from the images as ALT text, sorry about that too.

Also, in that case, the art you commissioned looks great, haha ^^'

Anyway, I believe alt text is very important, I just disagree with people demonizing art accounts that don't
hyeleth.bsky.social
Super sorry it came off that way! I see how with a lack of context it could've appeared this way.
The post I was responding to was talking specifically about them unfollowing art accounts that don't provide alt text, so my focus was on explaining how there're more layers to the issue.
hyeleth.bsky.social
✅ Visually impaired people, as well as folks with cognitive disabilities deserve to feel welcome and alt text helps with that.

❌Able-bodied asshats bullying otherwise disabled people, creating a hostile environment and potentially threatening our livelihood is NOT okay.
hyeleth.bsky.social
To prevent further misunderstandings...

I'm saying: Use alt text when you can, don't bully or ostracize those who can't, and pressure coorperations and websites to look into better ways to make providing alt text more accessible for everyone.

What I'm NOT saying: alt text bad dont use poopy tool
hyeleth.bsky.social
It's important to continue talking about this because there are many people on Bsky, who will refuse to engage with art that has no ALT text.
Meaning disabled artists who, for one reason or another, couldn't include it will get less chances to make money to afford a meal. Does this sound accessible?
hyeleth.bsky.social
*sighs*
Got blocked cause I tried to educate someone about the ableist nature of their POV, cause I thought they cared about disabled people. My bad, I guess.

Friendly reminder that there are other disabilities and villainizing people for not using ALT text isn't going to help anyone.
hyeleth.bsky.social
Also tysm for your compliment, your art is beautiful too, but idk what you thought that I said, but I didn't say that, because I do agree with you?? 🥲
hyeleth.bsky.social
another perspective that people seem to forget about in these conversations.

Basically, I want us all to talk more about the importance of ALT text online, but also to consider new ways of making providing ALT text accessible for everyone! 🫶
hyeleth.bsky.social
But my comment about people refusing to interact with art that doesn't have ALT text is based on people expressing that POV, so there absolutely are people who do that.

My point is not to argue with the necessity of ALT text, I 100% support it, but to shed light on
