Meanwhile if Aymeric had to choose between Icipher and Ishgard, he literally wouldn't be able to make that choice and would die of grief either way.

and yeah zenos is a fucking nuisance but i don't really hate him that much since he's finally out of the story and is at least treated as a villain in the narrative, but he's absolutely not a mirror or a foil to icipher, she really just wants to settle down

3. anytime the twins are basically a mouthpiece for the WoL because the writers are too afraid to write a silent protagonist. (ESPECIALLY Alisaie from SB+ but also Alphinaud does this in HW). Icipher and Alisaie disagree on basically everything and their relationship is toxic at the end.

2. anytime Gr*ha is portrayed as the WoL's bestie in the narrative with no option to tell him to fuck off. Icipher HATES him, for the kidnapping, the lying, the manipulation, and for demanding forgiveness just because he's parasocially obsessed with an idealized version of her.

agree with so many of the takes about Zenos here, but also

1. the ShB+ narrative that the WoL hates politics. Icipher would rather work personally with the Alliance than constantly be out in the field, and despite not being raised around politics her insight is deeply valued by the Alliance leaders

Icipher usually bottles up her emotions, but she isn't as good at controlling them as she'd like to think, and her anger and sadness come out violently in a few key moments. But for the most part she'll express them with a simple smile or a few silent tears.

In the end, Icipher's journey led her to a home, a family and a lover, and for that she's grateful.

But so much of her journey was unnecessary, and she only participated because she was manipulated into it, and she wishes she had said no to some of it.

Icipher often lets anger dictate her decisions, and she has villainized people in the past purely based on one bad interaction without considering the whole picture.

But actually I think people would mostly hate her for being a female character in a relationship with a popular male one.

Icipher thinks communication is the most important love language, since what works for someone might not work for everyone, or even the same person all the time, but her personal favorite love language is hugs and touch.

Icipher using Living Dead to survive an attack from the Heaven's Ward, and then healing herself by brutally killing some of the knights. One of her most horrific moments, but an epic one.

Icipher usually just has a small celebration with Aymeric and the Fortemps, she doesn't really want for anything besides the company of her favorite people and some good food. She also loves recieving gifts but never really wants anything specific and hates putting pressure on people.

Also, the only meat she had growing up was easy to preserve meat like sausages and salt pork, and they were usually only used sparingly in the dishes she ate, so she's never quite liked the taste of a straight up steak.

Nowadays she's a member of Ishgard's nobility which has forced her to expand her palate, and while she does enjoy the occasional expensive elaborate meal, most of the time she'd rather just have soup, bread and cheese.

The knights running the orphanage let her use the cheaper plentiful ingredients to cook her own food, so a simple potato soup was one of the first things she learned how to cook, and it's still one of her favorite foods to this day.

Icipher grew up in an orphanage so she mostly ate simple food that was easy to prepare in bulk like stews and pottages. But she was picky and didn't like most green vegetables, and she would just eat bread the nights emerald soup was served until she learned how to cook for herself.

Crying in front of him, and later confessing just how deeply she loves him, it was all so terrifying for her but cathartic when it happened, and it eventually felt really good.

For other people, if she acts impatient and curt that's usually a sign she's hiding deeper emotions.

Bearing her heart is one of the hardest things for Icipher. It used to be so bad that her deepest emotions often only manifested in violent DRK episodes.

But eventually she's able to share with Aymeric, he makes her feel safe and validates her.
