While this impacts a relatively small number of Type 2 connectors on the island (c.200), most of which are the Shell Recharge units located at Aldi, we would encourage all to contact other charge point operators about how best to continue offering those charging facilities to public / employees. 2/3

Phase 3 of the ZEVI TII LDV National Road
Grant Scheme has been announced (www.zevi.ie/news/90-new-...) - 192 >= 100kW chargers to be installed at 90 locations (c. 250kW average) nationwide.

- New A1 BIK category for BEVs, 6 - 15% depending on business mileage;
- Continuation of existing grants.
Budget 2026 is now out. A quick summary of EV relevant changes are:
- Extended 9% VAT on electric to 31/12/2030;
- Extended €5k VRT Relief to 31/12/2026;
- BIK OMV reduction of €30k in 2026, €15k in 2027, €2.5k in 2028, €0 thereafter;
With Q3 now over, a quick look at fast charging infrastructure deployed YTD:
- CCS +253 (+24%)
- Chademo +36 (+4%)

Launch day at Garvey's Centra Coolagh, N25, Dungarvan today & they've also got ESB ecars high chargers on-site too: 6 CCS (up to 200kW) & 3 Chademo (up to 70kW).
Latest InstaVolt site now online at McDonald's, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, offering 2 CCS (up to 160KW) + 1 Chademo (up to 60kW).
September's almost upon us, & compared to start of July, we see a further 70+ CCS & Chademo now live, with near a quarter of counties activating at least 6 connectors during the past 2 months.
