I like plastic games. I will be posting about miniatures and my addiction to them.
Posts Media Videos Starter Packs
Been a while. Decided to make a silly thing.
Tofu from Resident Evil. Made it out of 2 part epoxy and miniature hands.
Couldn’t find a knife so I gave them a gun.
I used a free jester file found on Cults3d to print up these little ones.
First was using the normal print but it ended up being too small for the detail and the hair got snapped off.
With that, the second and third I just sculpted the hair from the start.
I think I like each but evolved with each.
Finished the game, we had to re read the rules a few times to make sure we were doing it right, but it was fun. Rules were complex yet simple enough to learn after doing an action and seeing it in motion.
Having to buy each faction separately though… well at least the starter box had two ready.
Setting up for my first game of Lunar.
Just using what I have and put the minis on their bases. Gonna see if this game is interesting enough to really get into before paint and more effort is out in.
Will give my feed back on the game after me and my buddy play a bit.
Printed up a handful of the designs to see which I liked. These chess pieces would work for 28mm if you wanted that kinda look to the table. Im sure there are some cheap gamers who used chess pieces before.
Post them after I get a good number of them
Also, here is the Prince piece. I want to keep the designs simple. I used multiple free simple STLs to digitally kitbash them.

I have had a few thing happen BUT I have started to think of how the Chess themed game is going to run.
I am starting by making Pawns. Your basic unit has multiple possible "classes".
The Soldier, The Spearman, and the Apprentice.
Can we talk about how the orcs of 5e are actually aliens? Like the classic pig orc of older editions are mountain orcs, and the ones most players think of are grey orcs who are not even from the Sword Coast’s actual world.
Though if you know pig orc lore… well, those who know, knows.
I love the pig orc concepts. Though the web in me likes the Japanese style of them a bit more that the western.
Fun fact, pig orcs (the mountain orc) that were around in the beginning of DnD are actually still around and most players of 5e are meeting or thinking of Grey Orcs. Which are aliens.
You’d be surprised how many times I wish I just had a handful of normal looking villagers.
And the company makes real good kits too. I need to get some…
Ah yes. The cheese goblin. For as we all know, the cheese ferments the best under the floppiest of pointed caps.
I can already see the battle of princess Puffin’s gate. The battle of the horrid orcs against the sugary gingerbread soldiers…
But maybe that’s because of the pink and white atm. ^^
Ever just want to add a garden gnome to your game but can’t find any that suits your demands? Why not sculpt some out of clay?

I have found some cheap sets and printed two pieces from alternate Chess along with some pawns.
The Prince and the Princess will represent the main pieces for the roguelike.
These variants are from different versions but will work best instead of a king and queen.
That's it! I've officially decided.
1: Imma post more after this long absence.
2: I'm officially going to start working on a project.

I am going to attempt to make a "roguelike" board game inspired by chess.
I already wrote down all varent pieces for the alternate versions of chess, so why not?
So I have gotten a recent obsession with Chess. Given how unique chess pieces can be crafted or their appearance changing for theme and such, it’s just being my jam.
I also didn’t realize just how many variations along with unique non standard chess pieces there are.
It’s giving me so many ideas!
Ended up making one more retro sci fi astronaut. Mint was printed then converted with two new arms. Not just hand or weapon replacements. Was a bit harder to do, but I wanted a scout for the squad. Perhaps I should do a second heavy weapons unit.

Took me a bit to get my mini robots from my friends house, but I do have this bot made from two beads. Based on the TF2 dispenser.

WELP! That's good to know. I remember you used them in an earlier episode or at least mentioned them but my brain couldn't remember. Still, great to see them.
You ever just go full gnome?
These little ones were actually sculpted by hand. Based on the “gonk” design from dollar stores/pound shops.

*insert gnome noises*
I love the oxidized undertones and how nice the inside of the book is.
Those cultists stand no chance against the might of the… white scars? I wanna say white scars. I love WH40k but at the same time don’t know TOO much about the setting. More into the minis than anything else. ^ ^
Enjoy some rootin’ tootin’ cowboy action from time to time? Check out this game played by Guerrilla Miniature Games! Dead by Lead is pretty sweet. But I need yo actually get my hands on enough western miniatures before I can really get a game going.
