Favorite #filmnoir that made you a fan? The Big Sleep (’46). Chandler’s classic, directed by Howard Hawks with Bogie as Marlowe, and that incredible cast captured my heart and reeled me into the dark underbelly of this genre. I love it more every time I watch it.

RIP Adam Greenberg
He was the superb cinematographer who shot Near Dark (watch it!), Terminator 2: Judgment Day and, of course, The Terminator, which means he’s responsible for one of my favourite shots in cinema that also coined a new genre for its film:

Day 2 #NoirvemberChallenge Favorite #filmnoir character intro?
Harry Lime’s entrance in The Third Man (1949). From the cat, to the smirk, and vanishing back into darkness. It’s an iconic reveal and a masterful combination of techniques, suspenseful storytelling, and a perfect performance by Welles.
