I woke up this morning to a red sky
A warning was everywhere
I felt the rain on my shoulder
As I went into the mornings way
It felt so crisp and alive in the air
As if october had been awoken
Darkness fell over me in this
As the day moved boldly on

I hold compassion for the winter in your bones,

Turning the warmth of us brittle.
