Yep, definitely a Lover 2.0 vibe. She should've presented the album as such, by the way. As many have already pointed out, the showgirl concept and visuals are barely present on the record.
She led everybody the wrong way and did set herself up with that. But it's not the end of the world, really.

Reaction to this album depends on the point of view. Compared to the current mainstream Pop music, it is perfectly fine and there are some great tracks here. Compared to her body of work, the writing overall IS below her capabilities. However, an obvious hate train has taken over SNS. It's silly.

My life as a collector has slowed down drastically. The ever-increasing cost of living, absurd prices on new music, and exorbitant taxes and shipping fees on imports (most of my #CD and #vinyl purchases) have become unmanageable.
A "low-spending year" on music is coming for me in 2026.

The duo KIRINJI was hit hard when younger brother and lead vocalist Yasuyuki Horigome decided to leave the band in 2013. Older brother Takaki Horigome kept the name and, six albums later as a solo act, remains a creative Pop genius.

I love using the turntable, handling, playing and looking at records. They are big & beautiful collectibles.

But I simply can't afford an entire collection on LP. I started as a CD collector, and still buy/play lots of #CDs regularly. I cherish them as well 💿

Often overshadowed by its successor (Farewell Angelina), some songs from this excellent album were staples in her concerts until her final tour (There But For Fortune; It Ain't Me Babe).
The impressive Aria 'Bachianas Brasileiras N° 5' is also worthy of mention.

I agree! Not only a great album by its own merits, it did bring comfort and became associated with good memories despite the hardships during lockdown.
I never get tired of revisiting this record.
