Slava Ukraini. Underemployed political news junkie, wondering what the hell is going to happen next. There will be swearing. Human rights aren’t negotiable. ACAB. TACO. Right wing low lives blocked on sight, so don’t even bother.

Democrats better not fall for this bullshit
Translation: If Dems vote for the CR, Thune will allow a vote on extending ACA subsidies then Mike Johnson will kill that in the House.
Republican speaker of the house defends evil ideology
Johnson: That is not the principles of the Republican Party. You want me to articulate them? We fought the Nazis, we defended that evil ideology.

Kinsley gaffe at the end there, my weasel.

Absolutely. Same for bills and nominations, to stop Johnson McConnell style obstructionism.

Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva on Mike Johnson refusing to swear her in: "The excuses depending on the day keep changing ... the timing is the fact that I am the 218th signer to the discharge petition for the Epstein files"

Because Johnson has no ideas. All he knows is that he has to protect the Epstein files from being released.
Very big “you can’t fire me I quit” energy

...and yet, two "republicans" were sworn in. We need to call out the "gop" for what they are. They're not a political party, but rather a domestic terrorist organization, a criminal enterprise, a hate group, an unconstitutional entity and human traffickers. #endthegop
Creepy little freaks the lot of them. Who’ve never been told no either. Toxic combination.
I used to be one of those. But now I know better.
I think you’re probably right. I can see him taking over the design studio and putting up his childish scribble and talking down to the designers like he’s unveiling the word of god.
Remember the golden rule; Trump is a filthy putrid coward. He’s always testing people and boundaries, but after the smallest amount of push back he always runs away. He’s called TACO for a reason.

"Trump will fail if people and institutions coordinate against him, which is why his administration is targeting businesses, nonprofits and civil society, proposing corrupting bargains to those who acquiesce and punishing holdouts to terrify the rest into submission."

The racist-ass Supreme Court says race can't be a factor for college admissions or redistricting but racial profiling is perfectly fine for ICE to bash brown and Black skulls.

F this corrupt institution.

Expand the Court.
they’ll say they’re being ‘colourblind’ but they’re perfectly ok letting race be a factor in ice operations. Lying scumbags.
Remember though that despair and hopelessness is how they want you to feel. It’s hard but you can’t fall down those particular wells.
I think this is the future of democracy; parliamentary style systems with one chamber made up of elected politicians, and another made up normal people brought in jury style to review bills and appointments. If they can get it to work for criminal trials they can get it to work for legislation.
When Trump’s court rips the heart out of the Voting Rights Act and allows the GOP to steal another 19 seats, what then? Can blue states get rid of any red seats in return?
Roberts has been against the VRA since the beginning.
