Once played with this woman in college.

Watched as she kept telling people to go back. No further. Frantically waving for the team to retreat as I watched on from the goals confused.

Then she did it, and all confusion disappeared.

Not just a monster throw though, a great all rounder too.

I think her desire is to see Ireland represented well on the international stage, I think she wants a compassionate and reasoned voice and a continuation of humanity in the Áras.

And I do too!

I don't for a second think Connelly is perfect, I don't think anyone can be, but there are examples with Connolly I could pick out easily.

However, I think her principles are good and she acts on them every time.

I think there's no ego with her, it's not about her.

I honestly don't think I've seen less substance in a person than Heather Humphreys.

Every time I hear her speak, it sounds like practiced lines, jigsawed together to try fit the question.

And Connolly the opposite. Her response seems considered, coherent and rooted in genuine sentiment and beliefs

I don't do political opinion on here too often, but given I've just seen some of the rancid twitter claims of "loony left" by someone in response to a presidential candidate, I'm going to give my two cents.

I'm absolutely voting "loony left", because only one candidate has true decency & compassion
