Agriculture is the world’s biggest water user, and understanding how that water is consumed is key to shaping food systems. A new study maps blue and green water use for 46 crops at 10 km resolution, revealing where and how water powers our plates.

Big step for irrigation in Mali! #IPON was officially handed over this week to the Office du Niger after 2 days of training in Ségou. Co-developed by IWMI & @fao.org with the support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands, IPON uses satellite data to boost water management & climate resilience.
