I’m married, but I am convinced that marriage equality was not a step towards equity but sop to convince white cis gays and lesbians that we had arrived, we had reached the pinnacle and didn’t have to work as hard anymore…and it worked.

...hate crimes/police misconduct, lack of access to culturally competent mental healthcare. Many white, cis gays, lesbians and bi's don't consider these because we are rarely directly affected by them. But we are affected. When any of our community are affected, we all are.
