Really cool that there is so much untranslated Japanese so as a non-speaker you’re just as lost as Blackthorne and not sure who is friend or foe. And then sometimes Orson Welles chimes in.

Anyone else interested, you can buy it on bluray on Amazon. All 10 hours of it and documentaries. It’s a great purchase.

I just finished watching the 1980 Shogun miniseries, it was sensational. Epic story, amazing cast, shot in Japan. Toshiro Mifune is one of the greatest actors of all time (see any Kurosawa movie). I’m excited for the new one but it has a lot to live up to now.
