here it is: we are actually worse defensively, in addition to offensively, when palhinha and bentancur play together.
i’m also fearing that in backing we’ll never get out of a mismatched squad loop when the next guy comes in.
frank may have had a tight budget, but he had the advantage of being in place for eight years and thereby able to buy his choice players over that time.

the fear is that he is graham potter, who had a similar path and whose football did not scale up.
as for comparison, this was us versus west ham, in which we played against 10 men for 40 minutes, and brentford today versus them.
also, it’s terrible to watch. and anyone who viewed more than brentford highlights over the last four years will tell you it was not particularly enjoyable.
what evidence is there that it’s sound? his highest finish is 9th in the league, his average finish is 12th and his brentford sides never amounted to much in cup competitions.
i would like to be this brentford.
15 shots in the box has to be a record for one half.
they conceded 15 shots in their own box (!) in one half.

that’s unbelievable.
fortunately, our current director of football never hired him.

oh, wait!
if kish is seeing this, how is every manager we play not doing the same?
they could come back and win this and i’d never want this football near my club.
you think brentford has been terrible? i’d absolutely kill for this.
can we be brentford 2.0?
we could use higher quality for certain.
steve, we’d kill for this.
forest fans actually miss nuno?

west ham is home against the 14th place club and he serves this up.
how are we expecting brilliance from xavi and some of the forwards if they don’t get fed?

if xavi is instructed not to drop deep, in addition to a system without midfield progression, it’s really tough to have any impact.

*udogie’s absence was bigger to me than romero’s. esp for xavi.
it’s not the players, it’s the tactics.

you can’t quibble with our back four. and we have very good players in the midfield who are certainly better than 8th in the table.

maximizing players and developing them are two different things.

and extending bentancur is another thing entirely…
